The Story Behind Our Appliance Stores in St. Louis

Appliance Discounters is a family owned appliance store currently employing 18 people, and growing quickly.  Owned by a brother and sister team, Tony Slyman and Denise Bradley, who grew up in St. Louis. Tony and Denise have been in the appliance business since they were old enough to work in their dad’s appliance store, Slyman Brothers, which opened in 1965. They eventually earned the rights to be co-owners of the Slyman Brothers stores in St. Louis. After their father’s retirement, Tony and Denise decided it was time to branch off and create a true appliance discount store to serve the St. Louis area.

This was the beginning of Appliance Discounters. The main goal of Tony and Denise with the Appliance Discounters stores is to be a trusted source in the home appliance market by providing exceptional value and outstanding service while making each customer feel like family. Therefore, the Appliance Discounters stores not only sell new, discount appliances at prices which are much lower than the competition, but they also offer customers a high level of service. Our teams of associates are knowledgeable, dependable, personable, and professional. This allows us to provide personalized service from the moment a customer walks in the door at one of our appliance stores in St. Louis. Our associates are highly knowledgeable and are prepared to help each individual find the new appliance that best fit his or her needs and budget. This service continues with full service delivery and installation of any of our kitchen or laundry appliances. Additionally, even after an appliance is delivered, we are available to offer maintenance and repair services as needed.
