Since we have only had this washer since the end of January 2023 an evaluation of long-term reliability is not possible but we are quite satisfied with the unit thus far. Our laundry room is right off the kitchen so we really appreciate the fact that it runs so quietly probably due to the direct-drive motor. A few features I would like to mention are the soft-close glass lid the display of minutes left in the cycle and the dispenser drawer for detergent and softener. The washer offers a wide variety of cycles/settings in order to address the types of items being washed and the control panel features several cycle-modifier options. However I found the manual that came with the washer to be inadequate. The owners manual that can be downloaded from the LG website is a much more complete document and in my opinion it should have been supplied with the machine. The website manual is an absolute necessity if one is to understand how this washer actually works. For example the website manual describes how to wash a load of clothes with a higher water level than that prescribed by the machine. I think that the automatic water level is often too low so I generally use the option to add water. We hope for many years of trouble-free operation.

Very happy to have have this washer. Our Fisher Paykel gave up the ghost after 23 years. It was direct drive and we wanted a similar replacement. LG filled the bill and more The control panel is better with many more options than we could imagine. With direct drive the clothes are almost dry wich allows the dryer to work less saving energy and money. I highly recommend this washer

Great Machine Once I Learned How to Use It

I bought this machine a month ago choosing it because of a Consumer Report account saying it was one of the best machines to buy. At first I was frustrated because the thin manual I was given at purchase had insufficient instructions to let me know how to do anything but a normal load. I went online and watched some YouTubes to learn how to work the other features of my machine. In many ways the buttons on this machine look more like a computer than a washing machine. For example the instructions said to press Pause if a load got off kilter. Nowhere on my machine could I find the word Pause and I didnt know which button the manual was referring to. I learned online that the pause button looks like what is on my television remote for pausing a program. I think that if pictures were in the manual this would significantly improve the learning process to make this machine more user-friendly to the consumer as these washing machines differ from other machines I have owned. So far I am very pleased with how well it is cleaning my clothes.

I bought this machine a week ago. I had my last washer for 43 years another brand and the technology has changed so much. After reading the instruction booklet I found that you can load and the machine does the rest. It handles king size flannel sheets in one load and takes bath sheets and a mixed load of clothes with ease.

The user panel is very easy to understand. We used it to clean drapes pillows and the regular laundry. It seems to clean well and my towels come out softer. We like top loading and clear lid so we can see the clothes. Its also very good looking.

Ive owned it less than a year. Was set up wrong wasnt level wrong drain hose put on. Didnt explain any functions. Results were vibrations and water leaks. Spin cycle is ridiculously long. Lowes wouldnt fix it because it was less than a year old LG just told me to level it. I couldnt because of bad health had to hire someone to do it.

I bought this washer in July 2022 and it randomly is staining my clothes. I can only get stains out using blue Dawn dishwashing soap but some would not come out no matter what I tried. I googled remedies and tried them all but nothing works. Had a service technician out that tried to tell me about government regulations on energy and water temperature blah blah but it doesnt add up. Washers should clean my clothes not stain them. Im going to have to write this off as an expensive lesson and buy another brand of washer. Terrible

I have only had it for a few months and have had several issues for repairs. Currently havent been able to wash clothes for 3 weeks awaiting parts for repair. Doesnt wash clothes well at all the agitator just sways the clothes stay in the same spot nothing washes well like other washers I have had. 1st time I having LG and Life is NOT good with it.

I just got this washer to replace a 11 year old LG that finally gave up the ghost. LOL Anyway it washes well considering the low amount of water it dispenses. Last night i had a very large amount of bulky clothes to wash and after observing the lack of agitation I decided to add a bucket of water to the load. It seemed to improve the washing action very much. I wont normally have to add water since I usually have much lighter loads. On the whold I will parrot what others have noted about the very low water levels. I did not receive this product free or at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion but would like to receive a sweepstakes entry for my review.

I had a front load that broke. I knew I wanted to go back to top load. I was skeptical about buying a washer with an agitator. However the agitator is fine. I didnt want to spend a fortune or have all kinds of fancy features. The washer has great feature settings. Just what I need and wanted. The drum is a good size for average loads. The only downside to the washer is that it doesnt fiil with enough water with average to larger loads unless you set it to the deep wash setting. The warranty on this washer is great also. Overall I am satisfied with this washing machine

I bought this at the end of November and it worked great for about a month. Then it basically ceased to function. It will fill the tub with water no matter how much clothes and then it will never drain so it doesnt get through the rinse cycle ever. Then I have to manually drain the water out. And it doesnt spin the clothes. The troubleshooting guide and customer support had no solutions. A repair tech was sent out and couldnt fix it . They claim they are waiting on more parts but not sure if they will fix it and there is no timeline on when the parts will be available. So now we are stuck going to the laundry mat renting a washer or buying a new one as we cant get a refund. Worst purchase Ive made

I do like the option to fill the washer with water for loads. Ive watched it wash without putting it on fill and it just doesnt seem like it uses enough water. I wish there was an actual selector where you could choose small medium or large amounts of water.

I know that it conserves water. The salesperson did tell me that if I wanted more water to press the auto fill button. When I did that the tub totally filled with more water than was needed. I must have researched for 4-5 hrs reading many reviews over several days. We love the way it functions and how super quit it is. Many reviews said it was louder than most washers but they were totally wrong took our time setting it up for the best spin and it paid off have run several loads with no problems. For the first time in 42 years we were finally able to wash own king size comforter and my wife was thrilled and happy that it was as clean as if it had been done at the dry cleaners and we no longer have a 3 day wait or a $30 bill and that along saves us $100.00 a year. Dont believe all reviews Get with a good Salesman Read all Instructions installation recommended practices. I wish I could give it a rating of 10.

When washing one of the heavier throw rugs 2 x 3 it gets off balance in the spin where my prior washer did not. This is my 2nd HE washer and it seems to me that they do not rinse well. Anything that has outdoor grass or dirt with it -- it is all still there at completion and then in the dryer to make a mess when the dryer door is opened.
